supersport engine missing again

03 supersport 1000.. Engine has started missing @ 7-8 K rpms does it occasionally, usually in 2nd or 3rd gear. Just had it in at dealer for similar problems 2 months ago. Engine was running way too rich, reset fuel injection. Now problem has resurfaced ......Any advice?

I would start with the simple things: worn spark plugs or clogged air filter. Problems with the EFI system is ruled out because that was recently adjusted. Next I would check the valve clearances and timing.

Mine pulls to 8 grand no problem in 6th.

thanx for the advice. Had the plugs changed during that service. I will pull em out and check though. I am almost thinking it is an elec problem like a coil collapsing or something. I am gonna check all the connections to check for faults or corrosion .
