749 Maintenance/Shop Manuals/Air filters

Postby Mark Hutfloetz » Mon Mar 06, 2006 8:51 pm

Hi there,

Wondering if anyone knows where I can find/order/buy a shop manual for a 2003 749?

I was looking at replacing the air filters (any recommendations - K&N?) and it appears that I have to remove the front fairing to be able to get the air intake ducts out. Can anyone confirm?

Thanks,

Mark

Hi Mark

The air filters are at the joint between the ram air tubes and the air box. Yes the side panels have to be removed so you can replace these. There are several different filters available for your bike. My personal faves are the Piper Cross versions which slip directly over your injector stacks.

If you need manuals, parts etc. please give me a call at Ducati Toronto / Rev Cycles. The number is 416-703-0808 or email me with what you are looking for at robert@revcycles.com
