Brake pads for 900SL (iron rotors)

Postby Dave E » Sun Jan 01, 2006 7:37 am

It's time to change brake pads. My 900 SL has the cast iron rotors, so I was wondering what are the better pads to use. The bike is track use only.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks & All the best in the new year!!

I have been using EBC HH pads on my race bike for some time. Ferodo, DP or Braking HH pads work well also. Once I did try HRC (yes Honda) high sintered pads from a RS125 because they use the same caliper as early 900SS's (92-98) and M900's (94-99) the down side is they are EXPENSIVE (one side equal in price to both sides from over the counter pads) and wear out quickly. The up side, they work like no other pads I have seen!
