996 fuel/ignition problem

Postby 996er » Sun Jun 20, 2010 11:30 am

I have a 1999 996s. Had a fuel problem last year.
Turns out the switch underneath the tank was miswired.
Fixed that and now it feels like it's lacking power.
Running clean gas through it now, but no real change.
It does have a power commander(installed by K.L at gpbikes)

wondering if it is an injector problem and how to address it
OR is it likely an ignition problem? (& how to test for that)

any help would b appreciated!!!
Cheers

unplug the power commander and see if it makes a difference.

What Paul said!

On several occasions at our shop we've seen bike problems that were entirely due to a bad PC unit. Unfortunately you have to send the unit right back to Dynojet for warranty. Your dealer is out of the warranty loop on this one.
