So... the weather is looking pretty grim. Periods of rain throughout the afternoon/evening. Nearly all the responses I received from members about participating in the group ride said they were keen unless the weather looked iffy. Well, it looks like it's going to be lousy.

My feeling is to postpone the ride for another time. Tomorrow is supposed to be 26degs and sunny. Or we can wait for another opportunity next week. Sorry if this complicates things but in the interest of comfort and safety I feel it's the prudent thing to do.

Hey all,

Agree fully with Mark, current indication is up to 20mm of rain at some point later today.

I am a bit squeezed anyway, work is ausing problems today, probably going to go later than, so with the iffy wx outlook, I'm pretty much out for tonight.

Next week should be good for me, tomorrow is not so good. If tomorrow is sunny, though, hope some of you guys get out for a bit!

It pains me but you made the right choice Mark. If the group can't make tomorrow night perhaps we can do a local trip and then look at next week for all of us again.

When we do get out it will be that much more rewarding now!

that's too bad about the weather mark. i'd be up for a ride tomorrow if anybody else is. the rest of the weekend is looking a bit "iffy". gotta love nova scotia eh.

Thanks for the understanding guys. I don't like breaking plans but it's the right thing to do in this case.

So I've received some replies that next week is preferrable to tomorrow for the new date. How about next Tuesday or Wednesday? Same route. Same meeting spot. Unfortunately I'll be out of town all next week for work but Rory has agreed to take over responsibilities w/re to organizing things in my place. Thanks Rory! Make sure you guys take some pics at Peggy's Cove (and anywhere else along the route for that matter) so we have some group ride pics to submit for the 2009 DOCC calendar.
Angel, if you're interested in getting a local ride in tomorrow evening let me know. I'm game. Anyone else keen to ride in from elsewhere is also welcome, of course.
