s2r/s4r scottoiler installation
good morning all.
I have an '04 s4r and my wife has an '05 s2r. I am thinking about putting scottoilers on both but there is some confusion around installation on our bikes. In one installation guide it says that the scottoiler will not work due to an unsuitable swingarm design. In another installation guide it says that a scottoiler will work, however the injector must be installed on the front sproket. I cannot find installation instructions for this, and neither can my dealer. Since i am in B.C., the dealer is in Ontario, and the kits are non returnable, I am wondering if any one out there has installed a scottooiler with the injector on the front sproket. I know that with enough zapstraps and tubing I can make just about anything work, but if it is going to be godawful ugly then I probably dont want to spend the money on the 2 kits. I have sent an email off to scottoiler but I am still waiting to hear back from them. Thanks, John.

I've installed several Scottoilers on both conventional and single sided swingarms. Never had a problem though to keep things neat and tidy, I've machined my own mounts for the delivery tube. I would be reluctant to use the counter shaft sprocket; it's turning quite a bit faster than the rear sprocket and most, if not all, of the oil would likely be flung off.
