Sparkplugs for ST4s

Has anybody had success with fitting NGK sparkplugs on the 996 series engines. If so, which plug model?

DCPR9E serie is the one to go for. there are 3 models in that range :

DCPR9E standard
DCPR9EVX Platinum
DCPR9EIX Iridium

it all depends on the price you are ready to put in your plugs but I would think Platinum is the one to go for as iridium are still a bit too pricey.

I run my 996sps with racing R2270-9 NGK (racing models) but I got them at a bargain while I was in Japan (usual price is 140 Can$ for the couple).

Hope that helps.

Alexis.

Sparkplugs

I have a set of a set of DCPR9E plugs on my workbench, I'm unsure about using them as the tips project 2m/m further than the original (RA59GC) plugs. I would hate to spin the engine to 10000 rpm only to find the plug gap closed up! I guess my question is: are people using this series of plugs without problems and if so is there any change in the running of their bikes with the plugs sitting deeper in the combustion chamber? Surprisingly Canadian Tire has both the platinum and iridum models of these plugs at a decent price.
