Pirelli Diablos

Postby rogueridr » Sun Jan 15, 2006 12:44 pm

Can anyone tell me how many km can I get on a set of Pirelli Diablos
my bike the Multistrada 620 dark has 10,000 kms on it now and will have the same if not moe this coming season - am going to NC and ND plus other places for trips not counting smaller side trips and riding day to day
I am a aggressive defensive rider - no racing

any help would be appreciated
and if there is a web site that would help give me an answer that would be fine too

No experience with the Diablo, but my SS1000 was equipped with Michelin Pilot Power tires which are probably similar to the Pirelli Diablo in terms of wear resistance.

The rear tire lasted 6,000km - mostly highway riding. Not a great wearing tire compared to some others I've tried (for example, a Metzeler Roadtec Z6 rear tire - which looks surprisingly like the Diablo Strada - went nearly 12,000km on my Hayabusa).

I had a Michelin Pilot Road installed to replace the Pilot Power - I'm hoping it will wear better.
