The CF fenders on my 94 900ss/sp are looking faded and weathered. Looking for tips to restore them. Products, resins etc. or Places that might do the work.

Cheers,

Steve

Never done it myself but why could you not wet sand them and then have the local body shop shoot them with new clear coat.

Working with glass for alot of years between racing bikes, thrashing sleds and helping a former roomate build wind surfers, I can tell you that if the resin or in this case clear coat it could be as easy as a wet sanding and reclear. The problem you could run into is sanding through the top coat. If you sand through it you will have to re-resin the firbre to re-seal it. Once it is sealed, the you can use a good UV clear to give it the shine you want. Providing the chemicals between the resin and clear to not react against each other.

In the end of all of this, I would contact a good hotrod shop that has experience building glass rods. These are the replica cars. They will be able to give you a reasonable estimate and will hae the experiene to handle any problems that arise. Being from Alberta the only good shops I know of are there. In the GTA though there are several good shops to deal with.

BTW Dp carbon has no clear coat on it, except for the years that Carbon dream did the DP carbon.
