Ducati 748 Biposta kickstand

My 1997 748 has a broken kickstand, it's the bracket that bolts to the engine, just wondering how many people have had the same problem. I believe the bracket is cast aluminum and I'm thinking of machining one from stainless steel. Does anyone know which years and models this bracket was used on?
