Postby cheekeebandito » Fri Oct 24, 2008 4:49 pm

Hello , just wondering what the differences are between the '07 and '08 1098 and 1098S ? Also what recalls are there on either of these ? I'm in the market, and don't want any surprises........... thanks in advance, Les

The only recall on the 08 is for the rear drive sprocket.

There is a programming change for the 07. It deals with an overheat condition.

There is a recall on the 07 and 08 voltage regulator that I just received. Overheating from the exhaust may cause the regulator failure.
As far as differences, 07 to 08, I am not aware of any difference. S model has Ohlins, lighter wheels, the track monitoring system and a few other bits and pieces.
Hope this helps
