Low sided the bike today. Got the Ducati Tank ding. Anyone know any good shops in the GTA that could help with repair paint? 02 620 ie

Approx how much for the ding removal on the monster tank? Did it include a repaint?

Best guy I know of is Ross Thompson in Ailsa Craig, Ont. Not cheap, but his work is the best. He straightened the alloy tank on Gareth Wilson's 750 bevel drive after it crashed & burned at Mosport turn 2.

Thanks Ricky, Dave: you guys should know me better than that - not looking for expensive here! Tank has a small "ducati bite" from a 0 mph tipover - paint isn't even chipped or scratched....was looking for paintless dent repair style....have seen the "proper" way to do it welding tacks to the dent and pulling but that would require a full repaint/redecal and I just don't think the effort or cost is worth it for a small dent....

He'd probably remove the gas cap assembly & push the dent out through the hole. Can't say if he'd be able to save the paint.

For a real cheap fix:
(1) Park the bike so the dent is facing away from you or other passer's by
(2) Only ride at night

Other options
(1) very carefully dent the other side.Then have two small decals made that says G.P. , Special or Mark 2 and affix them on an approprate area of the bikes bodywork.
(2)Affix a bandaid over the dent (preferably a childs bandaid with Kermit the Frog on it).
(3)whenever anyone mentions the dent,vehemently deny that the dent even exists.Practice your Steely Gaze before attempting this.
(4) Park the bike in the garage and never bring it out in public view again.This also involves denying that the bike ever existed.
(5)Park the bike close to someones car in a mall (preferably a female senior citizen) .When they return to their car
wait until they pull out and insist that they have just hit your bike.
(6)Do the same as above,just do it in your driveway next to your wifes car.Only works if you have kept the fact
that you carelessly damaged the tank to yourself.

Another alternative which doesn't actually fix it, is to put a Bagster tank cover on it like this on on Stephanie's SS.

The beauty of this is that you can put lots of dents in it and nobody's ever going to know but you, and you can put a tank bag on it as well.

We had the Monster version on Stephanie's 620 a long time ago, and it hid the small dent the handlebar put in when the bike fell once in the driveway.

Makes it easy to forget the imperfection if you can't actually see it.
