DP wiring harness engin light prob
not sure if anyone has run into this problem but I istalled the DP wiring harness to my 04-749 and the engin light stays on ?? I double checked with the origional wires from the headlamp as I removed to prep for track days and light goes off. When I hook up this harness the engine light stays on ???.... I know a few things aren't hooked up like the kick stand and clutch switch ...any one run into this problem ??? Bike starts ....
Thanks
Thanks

The air temperature sensor that sits in a rubber hood would be my first guess. It sits in the headlight housing, and has to be moved to the race bracket, unique 2 pin plug. This is the only item related to front harness I can think of that will "code" if not connected.
edit; temp sensor in headlight, pressure sensor in dash assembly

Glad that helped
Docc, most track days require only that side stand retract well up with enough spring to stay put. The odd time I've had to zip tie it to pass tech at other events. Just my lazy bones, but I like the stand being there.
You will have to jumper the 2 wires to the stand switch, if removal is the plan. It will kill the engine as soon as you put it in gear otherwise.
