Tire Recommendations for a 749
Help,
I have never owned a radial tire in my life (not counting the 4 wheeled kind)! I am looking for recommendations for tires for a 2005 749 that I have just purchased. The bike will be ridden on the street as well as used for track days. Ultimate performance is not the top priority since I do not want to replace the tires every couple of thousand km's. On the other hand, I need something that will work well at the DOCC track events as well.
While I am asking, what about tires for a 95 900ss? (This is for a friend's bike, his riding style is more street oriented.)
Any thought for me?
Thanks

Re: Tire Recommendations for a 749
I can't help you with the 749.
I do however have experience with the 900ss. I have used Dunlop D204, D207 and Michelin Pilots. But my favourite for my '98 900ss were Avon Azaro AV49/50. From the looks of the websites I have seen they are now the AV59.
They were good in the rain, and sticky enough for me on the track. I had them on the bike for two seasons including DOCC track days before the bike disappeared.
