Weekend Road Rides?

I have find that my interested has shifted from Track Rallies to riding the back roads. (There are a lot of nice roads out there!)
I am wondering if there is any interest out there in getting together somewhere (at a location to be determined) and go spend a couple of days riding those back roads.
The idea would be to meet on Friday evening at a Motorcycle friendly hotel and have an adult beverage or two and tell lies, spend Saturday riding some interesting roads, grab a nice meal in a restaurant, and then head back home again on Sunday, maybe after a breakfast run. A central meeting place allows bikes to be ridden or trailered depending on the individuals desire. Everyone would cover their own costs and the charge for the weekend would be minimal or nothing at all.
Does this sound of interest?
If it does, post a reply to this note. Let's see if there is an interest in doing something different.
Thanks

Sounds like a great idea to me Dave. I can't imagine why anyone who owns a Ducati wouldn't want to get together with similarly afflicted individuals to enjoy some good roads. Count me in!

Dave, EVERYONE should already know my thoughts on this subject.
HOWEVER, just to be clear I'll say it again.
HELL YES!

So, then the question becomes, where and when? I assume that north and east of Toronto is a good place to start, although the roads around the Parry Sound area also have their appeal.

Prince Edward County has some pretty decent roads with a ton of B&B and more vineyard stops than is required

Sounds like a plan, N. East of GTA has some great roads and accommodations, but I'd ride pretty much anywhere.

Hello All,
How about we restart the Bancroft road rally? There are some of the best roads in Ontario in this area.
Tnxs. Eric.

roads should be free of salt and sand bye mid july. The previous Bancroft rally had a good turnout and a black out, oh and one quebec forest fire. All and all a great time. How about the weekend after Canada day.

Given my choice, I would prefer the weekend of July 19/20, but only because I have Friday off that week. I am already booked for Sunday July 6th, so that weekend is out for me. July 12/13 is also acceptable.

Count me in. I may not do 2 nights but an overnight with serious riding on Saturday before heading home would be good for me...

Well,
The change in the Calabogie dates puts paid to the idea of a road rally on the weekend of July 19th. Has anyone got any other dates in mind. Mid to late August might work.

Love the idea of a Bancroft rally. I would prefer mid July.

The problem with July is the schedule is already filling up.
Personally, I am unavailable on Jul 6, so that weekend is out. July 12/13 is Calabogie. August 4/5 is also Calabogie. That leaves only 2 other weekends, July 19/20 and July 26/27, both of which are adjacent to other weekends away for me.
I can only get away with being away from home so many weekends in a row.
At this point, something late in August looks like the only date that will work for me.
Thoughts?

Hi, Some of you may know I had posted on FB that I would host a roadride, the June 6th weekend, My brother's cabin is on road 515 between Quadville and Foymount. I will be going there that weekend and Docc members welcome. Gooch I know you cant do that wknd., any other weekends will be hit and miss, I do go up there as often as I can get away, I will notify on here if I'm going up, ok?
Maybe in Sept? I got up there twice last Sept. and you couldn't wipe the smile off me, eh Gerry and Fran?
