Anyone pick up a Panigale R? Perhaps we can compare notes. Dave.

I have not per chased a 1199R
But I'm pretty shur I would have to by a new mop and bucket to have handy in the garage ! You no , to mop up all the Drewl !!
Seriously , pretty stelar bike for the money ! I am absolutely guted I spent more for a 998FE then what a 1199R sells for .
And yes , I have been considering the liquidation sale to go get the R !!
What is your take on the Ducati 1199R
??

I find the bike to be truly sensational. Very different in just about every respect to the 1198 and quite the handful in a most positive way. The electronics are amazing. A most exciting machine. Next year it sees Mosport for certain. Regards, Dave (22).

I was shocked at the ergonomics of the 1199 over the 1098 ! it feels like the seat is so much closer the the bars .I dident have to reach for the bars with made me feel like i had more control . the motor makes power in different spots ,I didn't think it had a hole in the mid range as I have herd it described .but it definitely picks up power in the upper rpm !!

The pull in the lower rev range has been improved on all Panigale models with the availability of new engine mapping. Still doesn't match the 1098/1198 however until you approach 8k when it then kind of goes berserk right up to the rev limit. Definitely keeps you awake and hanging on...

Only around 20 - 25 of the 1000 1199Rs made for WSB homologation purposes came to Canada. 200 - 250 to North America.
Dropped by GP Bikes early yesterday and learned that they were able to get 5 total.
Haven't heard from any member yet re ownership. Dave (22).
