Begging, borrowing or renting a bike in Newfoundland

My company has got me spending quality time north of St John's for 2 weeks at a time over the summer. I have been looking at the local roads and thinking that a bike would be great to tool around on for a weekend.

I will be happy with anything from a 250 dual purpose to a full blown touring bike or anything in between. (maybe even a Harley......) It doesn't' have to be a Ducati.

Has anyone got any ideas (or a spare bike?)? I have been staying in Clarenville for the last 2 weeks and I will be heading home tomorrow, but I will be back at least twice over the summer.

Any ideas or thoughts would be appreciated.
