The timing sucks but...
Marg and I will be leaving Whitby the evening of Friday June 26. I think we'll go through New York state on our way to the Cabot trail. I htink we'll be finding the trail on Tuesday. Tentatively 4500 km plus detours and side trips in 8 days, I wonder what shape our butts will be in by the time we get back. We'll be riding a red ST3, wave if you cross our path on the way back. Too bad we can't leave a few days early.

Hasn't been a lot to report about the trip lately, although I thought you might like to know that Troy of Atlantic Motoplex, as well as several of their staff, are planning to ride along for the weekend. Very cool! So it's likely we'll have some individuals along who are more technically minded should someone have a mechanical issue. That ought to give some peace of mind for anyone not confident wrenching on their bike.
As well, I'm going to look into places to eat that can accomodate the group. Specifically, Friday night in Baddeck at the lobster/mussels/chowder house Jonny Cannon recommended seems like a perfect choice for the first night together. For Saturday evening we could make our way to the Glenora Distillery, or perhaps over to Sydney where there are some decent restaurants on the waterfront. Preferences?
Anyone have other suggestions/requests for places to eat? Post up.
Finally, I'd recommend anyone travelling to NS request a copy of the Nova Scotia Motorcycle Tour Guide. It has a lot of great info about places to stay/see/eat/etc., is small enough to fit in a tank bag, and it's free. Highly recommended.
